How Renovae pieces are made
Every Renovae object begins as a design concept — a form study that asks what shape, what proportion, what surface quality will make a piece worth keeping. From concept, each piece moves into our design studio where it is precision-formed using a process developed and refined in-house over time.
The result is an object with genuine structural integrity — not cast from a mould, not mass-produced, but formed individually, with the kind of surface detail and dimensional accuracy that only comes from a process that treats each piece as singular.
No two pieces are identical. Slight variations in surface texture and tone are inherent to the craft process and are considered features, not flaws. They are the evidence that your piece was made once, for you.
What our objects are made from
Renovae objects are formed from a precision-composite material developed and refined in our design studio. It is not ceramic, not metal, not cast resin, and not plaster — it is a material category of its own, chosen specifically for its ability to hold intricate surface detail, structural integrity, and consistent finish quality at a level that traditional craft materials cannot match at this precision.
The material has a warm, matte surface quality that reads as considered and tactile rather than industrial. It is lightweight relative to its apparent solidity, which makes installation and handling easy without compromising the object's presence in a room.
Like all formed materials, it responds to its environment. Keep pieces away from prolonged direct sunlight, extreme humidity, and sharp impacts. It is not fragile, but it rewards care — as any well-made object does.
Canvas wall art
Canvas works are produced using archival-grade inks on premium cotton-blend canvas, stretched over kiln-dried hardwood frames. Colours are calibrated for long-term stability — they will not fade or shift with time under normal indoor conditions.
Each canvas is stretched by hand over a solid hardwood frame and checked for tension and alignment before dispatch. The result is a piece that arrives ready to hang, without the need for additional framing.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, chemical cleaners, and prolonged direct sunlight. Do not submerge in water. The surface quality rewards gentle handling and improves in appearance with time.
Use only bulbs within the specified wattage range included with your piece. Dust the shade with a soft dry cloth. Avoid touching the bulb directly. Disconnect from power before cleaning.
Wipe the face and body with a soft dry cloth. Use a standard AA battery as specified. If the clock stops, replace the battery before assuming a fault. Keep away from high humidity environments.
Dust occasionally with a soft dry cloth or clean soft brush. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity — hang away from windows and bathrooms. Do not use water or cleaning solutions on the canvas surface.
All pieces are packaged to withstand transit. When unpacking, retain packaging for future moves. For wall-mounted pieces, use appropriate fixings for your wall type. Canvas works wider than 40cm should be hung using two picture hooks.
Canvas works shipped to UAE and Saudi Arabia arrive rolled in archival protective packaging. A framing guide is included. We recommend professional framing for the best result — any local framer can assist.
